
OpenAI, the renowned artificial intelligence research organisation, has announced the appointment of Adebayo Ogunlesi to its Board of Directors. Ogunlesi, a Nigerian-born lawyer and investment banker, brings a wealth of experience in infrastructure investment and global market strategy to the role.
As the Founding Partner, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Global Infrastructure Partners GIP, Ogunlesi has overseen the management of over $100 billion in assets, including significant investments such as Gatwick Airport and the Port of Melbourne. His ever growing background in infrastructure is expected to be instrumental in guiding OpenAIs strategic initiatives, particularly in securing the necessary infrastructure to advance its AI development.
