Indiana Jones And The Great Circle is coming to PS5 in April with Physical Editions

Bethesda’s Indiana Jones and The Great Circle arrives on PlayStation 5 with early access on April 15, followed by a global launch on April 17. Pre-order players gain the coveted early entry. This PS5 debut lands four months after the game’s initial release on Xbox and PC, announced with a promotional trailer that’s as clever as it is nostalgic.

The trailer pairs two characters of video game acting: Troy Baker, the voice of Indiana Jones, and Nolan North, famed for bringing Nathan Drake to life in PlayStation’s Uncharted series. Their on-screen banter feels like a cultural milestone. Uncharted drew clear inspiration from Indiana Jones, making this encounter a nod to shared roots and a sly wink to fans. North never utters “Nathan Drake” or “Uncharted,” moving clear of Sony’s legal turf, but his tone carries the weight of that legacy. He quips about sneaking into the plush room where they sit, hinting at imminent chaos, goons crashing in, perhaps, as they often do when Drake hunts for treasure.

Microsoft-owned Bethesda tapped North, a PlayStation icon, to promote its game, a play in an industry once defined by console wars. It shows Microsoft’s multiplatform strategy, now in full swing. Titles like “Forza Horizon 5” and “Doom: The Dark Ages” have already crossed borders, with more reportedly on the way. Indiana Jones and The Great Circle joins this wave, its PS5 arrival poised to amplify its reach.

The game’s momentum is undeniable. Launched day one on Game Pass, it has already drawn 4 million players, a number set to surge with the PS5 release. That success owes much to Baker’s portrayal of Indy, which even won over Harrison Ford. Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Ford praised Baker, saying, “you don’t need artificial intelligence to steal my soul.” Ford’s blessing shows Baker’s skill, a human touch in a role defined by charisma.
